Your model doesn’t really shine from the background as much I would like. I think its because the lingerie she is wearing is more black than green, and also my eyes are more drawn to the lettering on the floor than anything else. Im not sure about anyone else, but I don’t like it as much and think the image could do without it. I would have also liked to see her stare more at me than off to the side, would make her look fierce and add to the element of being high fashion. I liked where you were going with the casual background and pose, but it needed a little more ‘oomph’ to make it stand out.

Another lovely black and white image, although Im not sure what emotion your portraying. I see mostly…indifferent mademoiselle. XD She doesn’t look much interested in anything either.

Serenity & More

Bio: Katha grew up in a poor village in Russia, but moved to Bridgeport with her father when her parents divorced where she saw an ad for this modeling competition. Having already competed in one and landing just outside the top three, she was determined to try again.

Lots of Updates!

Hey everyone, lots of updates today :) We'll start with...

Colours!!


We ended with assignment 3: the funeral. Here's my entry:

After your depressive funeral, your model is slowly grieving in her own way. But while your model is working (doing a job maybe?).. You get a knock on the door. Is it the police? Is it someone hunting down your loved one? Who knows? You decide.. 

There is no optional CC, OR Colour needed! (You can pick any colour to wear) 

The Twist 
You MUST not use the same stories (EG both having a police knocking). 

This will be your last assignment all doing the same thing. After this, you will all get separate storylines/assignments depending on who you make to knock on your door.

Comment: Your model’s expression would perfect for your picture but because she’s supposed to looks sick you lost a few points. Sadly I had to deduct a few points from pose because I can only see half of it. I’m not a big fan of your background; you can only see bits and pieces of things, which somehow gives it a cramped and empty feeling at the same time.

Comment: The one thing I don't like about this photo, wait two, is a) the fact that she doesn't look like she's laying comfortably, it looks like it's forced and b) she doesn't LOOK sick. I mean, she looks dressed up and the yellow gloves are a great touch but in the story, it said she spent the entire day on the sofa but would she have spent her whole day looking & sitting like that? :S

Comment: I think this is probably your best entry yet! <3 I love the background, but I think Emma should have positioned a bit closer to the camera- then it would have been perfect! I love her appearance, but I wish her expression wasn’t blank; the same goes for the director. I’m not really a fan of how the director is clasping her hands together- it looks like she’s making a heart. Another improvement would have been not cutting half of the photographer out of the picture. But overall, you’ve improved so much!

Comment: I think that the best part of this photo was the fact that the other models in the back looked a bit out of the decade. Also, her director is doing that heart pose with her hands that I've seen before but I can't quite figure out why. Great photo!!!

This was a good entry but I felt it could have been MUCH MUCH better. The quality wasn't good I suggest when you save your picture you should change it to .png to get a clear image. You could have skin shaded did some editing and I felt the lighting could be improved. Overall keep improving and good work!

Your model's blush looks too heavy. Her pose looks awkward since her leg is kind of jutting out. The background models look too choppy, and burning down a house is too cliché. On to the good. I love your model's hair. The colour isn't blazing red like I thought the wrath model would have. It's also awesome that everything seems to have been innocent until wrath came. Good job! 


Oh well. Then assignment 4 came along, which was to do a black and white shoot from the thighs up portraying an emotion.

Ladies as you progress you are becoming more and more amazing. The Black and white photos were BREATHTAKING and certainly blew us away! You really are providing some stunning work and it's great seeing you all improve each week. This week we are going HIGH FASHION and you guys will have a choice of lingerie and a colour you need to represent. You will then need to use a bedroom background and make your model shine in a casual environment.

Autumn has started, which means it gets colder, and Emma has a weakness for that. She caught a bad cold and spent the entire day on the sofa with a warm fire, her tissues, her scarf and her favourite yellow gloves.

Victoria's Secret - Scores & Assignment 3

Your assignment is definitely something I haven't seen, and in ways it works. I like the overall idea you had for the picture, but what I don't like is how Lotte pops a little too much in the picture. The highlighting on her cheeks and legs look a little overdone, but what draws you away from that is her seductive look at the camera, and considering that this is a lingerie/swimwear themed competition, seductiveness is really a plus, imo. What else I think is a plus is the lightning on the Trident - it's a really cool effect!

The idea is great. I can tell that there is affiliation between her and Zeus. The lighting strike added a nice touch, but the crown maybe could have been more related to lighting or weather. The setting is kind of awkward. Flowers have nothing to do with lighting. Now, I can't tell if you edited in the staff she has, and if it was in-game, I can't tell if the lighting was connected! That's a good thing! If that's edited, then you should definitely experiment more with cutting out sims. I can't wait to see more from you!

Crazy & Colourful scores & assignment 6 UP!

Basically I did crap in C & C - I came last... and, well, I guess I deserved it... Anyways, here were my scores:

Comment: Your cut out is good- as far as I can see there’s no unwanted colours around her edges! But there is some text on the background and her pose is boring, making her expressionless; I would have preferred to see her playing in M&M’s. Her hair is also weird- I would suggest a different style to make the colours blend better. It doesn’t really look like she belongs there and I don’t like the blurriness around the edges. Just keep trying and you’ll become an awesome editor!

Victoria's Secret

The scores for assignment 1 of Victoria's Secret was up... and I came last :( Click here to see the scores and assignments :)

Anyway, I have handed in my Greek God assignment - I was Zeus!! In my last post I showed a picture of what I would like it to look like, but in the end when I tried that it turned out like this:

And, well it looks okay and you can see a lot of the lingerie (which is a little less in the picture I handed in) but I didn't like the fact that you couldn't really see her face and the lightning didn't look as good as I wanted it too. Also, for a lightning & storm god, there was an awful lot of BLUE in the picture. The scores might've been something like this if I handed it in:

Whereas the one that I handed in...

...(to me) was a lot better. I liked the staff and the editing looked much better. Also, you could see a lot more of the model and her body and face. I liked the tiara / crown that I added and the fact that the editing I used was much better (only the lightning bolt). About the lightning bolt, I really like the fact that it was shooting out of the staff. Also, her hair and makeup look much better - as does the black lingerie. I guess that this shot does have a downpoint - you see much less of the lingerie than they probably want. Up to now, I think I will score this:
