Instagram, Darling!

Hello good fellows of the world,

Today I will be talking about Instagram. And some other stuff. If you can be bothered to read it, I will have written it. Obviously, otherwise you wouldn't be reading it. Gosh, I'm confusing myself now :/ Anyhow, I know Instagram doesn't make me a professional photographer (I mean, I'm not that stupid!), but it certainly does make my pictures look really nice. Here are a few example of my favourite pictures I made with Instagram over the past few days:

My absolute favourites are the two Diesel ones at the end. It's from my bag I got for my birthday last year. And yeah, the salt and pepper one is supposed to have my falling-down sister in the background. I think it gives the entire picture a more realistic feel. Don't even start about the humping dog bums, we had them on our windowsill (you're supposed to hang coats from them but NOOO, one of my sisters - or my dad - decided to make them hump eachother). Yeah, I have a normal family ;).

Nails, Glorious Nails

Hellooow everybody!

I have been pretty obsessed with my nails lately, I love them and really, really enjoy painting them etc. Of course, I'm not the best at them at usually stick to simple designs (rainbow nails, I love you <3), but I also like to challenge myself and do a couple of designs every now and then. Sometimes I follow instructions, for example by Cutepolish. I followed her mustache nails designs, since I totally adore mustaches at the moment. Here is what I did:

When I did these nails, I was so proud of them! I walked around with them for like a week. They've only just come off on Monday. And, since I was bored then, I decided to do another nail design. This time, it was my own design. Let's just say I was feeling very inspired, because, ever since, I haven't really had a lot of inspiring nail ideas. Boo-hoo :(

The lighting isn't the best (as you can see my skin looks yellow) and a lot of the lines are smudged since I don't have the best top coat in the world (boo-hoo), but I think it's pretty obvious that I went for a nautical theme and it worked out quite well. Yes, I do love my sailors ;) 

Review on Broadway Nails 

My last topic on nails is fake nails. There's a lot of views about fake nails (I know because mine keep changing ALL THE TIME), but I think that I've settled with that I like them. When my nails are all au natural they look fine; rounded and shiny and a lovely half-moon in front of my beautiful cuticle. I'm being honest - they really are that gorgeous ;) However, I really wanted to try out fake nails because my sister had an old box of Broadway nails that she doesn't use anymore with loads of nails left. So I decided to go for it (God, I hate when people say 'go for it!'). 

I really do like the end result: 

Pros of Broadway Nails (Real Life - Real Short):

• Perfect for everyday tasks.
• Wide range of sizes.
• Look natural.
• Clean break tab.
• Easy application.
• Easy to remove.

Cons of Broadway Nails (Real Life - Real Short):

• If too much pressure is put on them, they break off.
• The glue can be hard to get out of the bottle.

Obviously, there are more pros than cons, so I definitely recommend Broadway Nails to any beginner or professional fake nail user.

New Style, New Title

Hello everyone,

Now that this blog is my new everyday blog, so no more sims modeling..

I have decided on a new name. Well, not decided exactly since I still have to choose one, but I know I need to show my new look with a better fitting name. I mean how can this blog be called 'Belle Modele?' when I'm not a belle modele? ('bellle modele' is french for  'beautiful model')

So I'm thinking something along the lines of 

     - Dreamy Ramblings
     - Calm Little Dreams
     - Where My Dreams Lie
     - Castle of Bubbles
     - Pie in the Sky

I think it's pretty clear that it's supposed to be along the lines of dreams and illusions etc. Does this give the impression that my life is a dream? Because it isn't. Anyway, ideas which one is best or different ideas are welcome in the comments. In fact, comments are always welcome.

Also, I'm thinking of a new layout. I love this layout I have now but since I've got a new style of writing, a new title (soon) and so a new layout definitely fits in with this plan, don't you think?

Lastly, a week before I change the name, I'll put a big notice up at the beginning of every post so as not to let you guys forget ;). I've never changed names of blogs before, so I don't know if it'll show up and say 'this blog has moved to whatever.blogspot.com'. I don't know. Who cares??

Anywho, that's all for now. Since I'm in a writing mood, I might post some more later. Who knows??

Updating... UPDATED!

Hey guys!

It's that time of year again... when I'm bored. Which is basically most of the time. It's half term now, and I'm in my vacation house waiting to leave to go to some random musical I don't want to see. It's about the second world war. How darkly depressing is that? Lately, I have also been stuffing myself with cake and crisps, since my sister's birthday was yesterday and the cake was big. Like, really big. I have also been busy with trying to keep in shape, so as not to see the calories sitting cosily on my stomach from the cake. Two words: big mistake. I did a half-hour workout yesterday, and here is what I got for my trouble:

     1. Aching calves. Yes, I can barely walk - this morning I had to sliiiiiide down the ssstairs like a sssnaaaakeee (;p) and crawl to the kitchen table.

     2. Aching shoulders. It's hurting just typing this.

     3. Aching abs. No laughing for me :(

Oh well, I mustn't complain. I heard painful muscles are the result of a good workout. The next few days will be called 'Days of Pain'. Excuse my dramaticosity. My one tip for you guys: do a thirty minute warm-up & stretch before starting an intense thirty minute workout.

Now, y'all must be thinking - where's the sims relatedness to this post? Well... here, now that I've started about it. Anyway, the only sims I'm playing lately is sims social. I know, it's sad. Don't judge me!! Apparently there's something wrong with my computer, but I can't be bothered to fix it. So no more playing sims for me. Except on my sister's computer - when she allows it. Anyway, I don't want to abandon Belle Modele soooo...

Belle Modele will be my new everyday blog!

Or most days anyway. I've wanted a blog like this for ages, but never got round to it. Of course, it'll still be about sims, but a little more centered around my interesting (not) life. If sims ever does install, I'll post my updates here - no worries.

So, what's been going on in my little life? Erm... Eating cake, exercising (ouchy, ouchy, ouch) and looking at fake tan. Yeah, fake tan. Didn't I tell you how full of interestingosity my life would be? So, fake tan. I'm already quite tanned from myself, but it's not the beautiful golden glow you get from a couple of days in Mauritius or Miami. Nuh-uh. No way. It's more this greenish hue on my arms and a pale radiance on my face. The only thing I'm proud of are my legs. And who's gonna see them with the weather we're having lately? Right - my bed. My solution?

I'm joking. Can you even do that at 13? I'm guessing if I ask in a salon I'll get a face like this:

Are you getting my drift? Anyway, St Tropez and Simple Sun-kissed moisturizer are my solutions.

I haven't actually tried them yet, but I certainly will as soon as a Boots gets into my vision, if you know what I mean and I think you do.
